Old Fishing Hole has 2 wraparound decks, hot tub, and lots of rocking chairs! Our Guest House is located in a gated natural resort setting and overlooks the rushing Coosawattee River, best known for tubing, recreational kayaking, canoeing and fishing. The resort backs up to the Cohutta Wilderness and borders pristine Carter's Lake. You are close to Amicalola Falls, Highway 52 Scenic Byway, Ocoee or Nantahala whitewater rafting, and more! What makes this area worth visiting? The outdoors! The Appalachian Trailhead, scenic overlooks, waterfall hikes, apple orchards, antique shoppes, quaint city squares...all close to your mountain getaway! Within minutes you'll be exploring, whether by foot, horseback riding, bike or car! Another reason to visit the area is to join those who come to celebrate holidays and harvests at the local festivals. Be sure to come in October for the Apple Festival right here in Gilmer County.
